NSW Firearms Registry has communicated stepped-up storage compliance inspections.
The NSW Firearms Registry signalled an increase in storage compliance inspections, particularly for Category H licence holders. Inspectors check:
- Cabinet construction and bolting.
- Ammunition stored separately from firearms.
- Keys held by the licensee only.
Common failures are easy to fix beforehand — re-bolt, separate ammunition, secure keys.
