NSW
- Modifications to "alter the category" of a firearm are prohibited without prior approval (NSW Firearms Act 1996).
- Magazine capacity for shotguns: 5 rounds. Rimfire semi-auto: 10 rounds (Cat C only).

- Victoria Police Licensing & Regulation Division requires a Form 27 to modify any firearm.
